We had to do it yesterday. Even though it was still relatively chilly, the desire to move past our incredible winter was too great and the kids and I decided to spend a little time down at the creek by our home. Many a trail has been created between here and there, and it was a joyous journey down to the water’s edge. I brought my camera as the setting sun’s rays were lighting everything up. Cell phone cameras are nice, but I always try to bring a decent camera to capture moments like these. When you live with passion, moments like these are usually ones to remember.
The water was freezing, but the kids had to go barefoot. Don’t tell there mother, but I obliged them! We stayed far too long and when we were finished decided a good way to warm up was with a fire. We must have been outside for a couple hours. Pure joy. I’m so very thankful for a family that fills the simplest moments with wonder and lifelong memories. Live with passion, teach your children to live with passion, and make life a wonderful journey where all you need is each other and space to play!
