A tragic story out of New York paints a grim picture of how far we have fallen. One need only describe the scene to make an important point on the times we live in.
A young woman sleeps on a subway car. An illegal immigrant pours accelerant on her and lights a match. He sits calmly, watching as she goes up in flames. The other passengers? They watch too. She is engulfed in fire, and there’s no evidence that anyone tried to help her.
A video appears on social media. It shows onlookers from the subway ramp filming her burning with their phones. She manages to stand, but the fire feeds on her fat and flesh. Her throat is consumed, and she makes no sound.
Two police officers glance at her and walk by. The onlookers do nothing, many still recording. The murderer now fans the flames, ensuring the fire burns hotter.
We don’t know her name yet. Someone surely does, but the authorities seem reluctant to release it. More than likely, her skin color doesn’t fit the “correct” narrative. The entire episode is inconvenient for someone’s agenda.
I write this out of disgust, tired of those who refuse to stand for what is right. It’s simple: Government shouldn’t spend more than it takes in. Illegal means illegal. Family is the cornerstone of life. Faith gives meaning. Sexual perversion leads to death. Work hard, rise early, keep your friends close, your family closer, and never forget—this life is only the beginning.
The world burns. I will not just stand and watch.
